Registration and Bike Racking takes place on race morning from 8:40am. Please allow plenty of time to rack your bike and set up as all athletes need to be at the swim start by 10:25am for the race briefing.
Deep water start in the tidal River Crouch. Wharf and pontoon provide perfect spots for spectators. Athletes will start at 10:40am and complete 2 loops of the course. Water safety marshals will be present with motorised boats and canoes. Please note this is a tidal river and will be more challenging than a typical open water or pool swim. Wetsuits are compulsary. Swim cut-off strictly 11:50am.

The cycle course takes athletes out of North Fambridge and onto the quiet scenic roads of the Dengie Peninsula. Here you will pass through small towns and villages with traditional weatherboard homes, negotiate the Burnham Bends and experience a fast and flat course over the marshes. Athletes will complete 2 laps of the course.

NO DRAFTING! Triathlon is an individual effort and drafting is cheating. Please keep a 7m gap from the cyclist in front of you. No side by side riding.
The cycle course takes place on public roads. Observe the rules of the road. Keep to the left when not overtaking, do not cross the centre line and give way at junctions.
An approved cycle helmet must be worn with your bike in road worthy condition or you will not be allowed to race.
This is a British Triathlon Federation sanctioned event, please make sure you are familiar with BTF rules before racing.
The run course is situated around North Fambridge Village. Here spectators will have plenty of opportunity to enjoy the triathlon. Huge crowds of spectators line the run course and provide plenty of support for the athletes. Athletes will start the run by heading out along the sea wall before turning inland to run through the village. Here you will see your fellow triathletes on the last part of the cycle. The run will then take athletes through open fields and past the aid station before returning to the transition and finish area. Surface is a mixture of paved roads, paths, trail, grass and gravel. Please be careful and always listen to marshals instructions... they have given up their time for your benefit.

Registration and collection of race numbers, timing chip etc on race morning from 8:40am. Remember to bring your BTF licence. If you are a non-BTF member you will need to bring another form of photo ID and will be given a day licence. At registration you will receive a goody bag containing race numbers, swimming hat, timing chip and race memento. Your race number needs to be visible from the back on the bike and from the front on the run.
Bike Racking takes place on race morning from 8:40am. Please allow plenty of time to rack your bike and set up as all athletes need to be at the swim start by 10:25am for the race briefing. At the transition and finish area you will find all of the race facilities including medical staff, toilets and the results station. You can leave personal belongings at the race tent for collection after the race provided they are clearly labelled. You can also drop off your own nutrition for the cycle and/or run aid stations, again provided they are clearly labelled.
