41.5km Fun Ride / 84km Classic / 125km Epic Starting From: 08:30am Location: Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, Hillfields, Reading Rd, Burghfield Common nr Reading, Berkshire

Registration and collection of number and timing chip from 07:45. Epic Start: 08:30. Classic Start: 08:45. Fun Ride Start 09:00.

Cycle Information Pack will be available nearer to the event and will also be sent to all competitors in plenty of time before the day.

Course Info

The cycle course takes cyclists through the beautiful Berkshire countryside, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. Here you will pass through the traditional villages of West Berkshire, negotiate a selection of short punchy climbs and experience the stunning scenery and quiet country lanes of the Royal County of Berkshire.

Tour of Berkshire Cyclosportive Cycle Ride UK

Rules:

This cycling event is NOT A RACE. The cycle course takes place on public roads. Observe the rules of the road. Keep to the left when not overtaking, do not cross the centre line and give way at junctions.
An approved cycle helmet must be worn with your bike in road worthy condition or you will not be allowed to take part.

Facilities

At the start / finish area you will find all of the event facilities including medical staff, toilets and the results station. You can leave personal belongings at the event tent for collection after the cycle provided they are clearly labelled.

There will be Aid Stations on the Cycle course providing cola and water in plastic cups. Those on the Fun Ride will pass one aid station, those on the Classic Cyclosportive two and those on the Epic three. We recommend training using on-course nutrition as part of your preparation. At the finish there will be refreshments available.

BikeLux are based in Newbury and are a one stop shop for all your bike needs. They will be present offering a range of cycling products should you need to purchase any last minute items and providing basic mechanical services such as brake and gear adjustments, quick wheel truing, checking torque settings etc. We recommend having your bicycle serviced before you ride. www.bikelux.co.uk
