The Fambridge Yacht Haven Half Iron Triathlon gives plenty of opportunity for spectators to see the athletes regularly throughout the entire race.

We recommend you get there for the swim start at 10:40am. All of the triathletes will be in for a long day and would really appreciate your support. The swim is great to watch and follows a 2 loop out and back course. Spectators can easily follow their favourite athletes by viewing the course from the wharf and pontoon. As the athletes exit the water there is ample space for spectators to line the path leading to transition. At this point you can see the athletes in transition where they will change from swim to bike and cycle out of North Fambridge. After the start, food and refreshments will be available at the Ferry Boat Inn.

If you would like to view the athletes on the cycle course we recommend heading to the aid station where Mayland Hill crosses with Southminster Road. If you walk up Mayland Hill you will see a great view at the top! Alternatively head out into the Dengie and investigate the area, there are plenty of small towns and villages where you can have a drink and cheer the athletes on. Please DO NOT follow athletes around the course, this is outside assistance and they will be disqualified. We also ask that you do not park anywhere which may be disruptive or dangerous to the athletes.

By the time the run gets going the athletes will really need your support! The run is based around North Fambridge and due to the nature of the course you will be able to see the athletes multiple times on one lap. At the same time, you will also be able to watch athletes completing the cycle leg. A huge number of spectators line the run course with large crowds in particular at the Village Hall, Ferry Boat Inn, bike dismount and finish line. The run is on public footpaths and roads so please be careful of the athletes and try not to impede them. You won't want to miss the finish so make sure you are at Fambridge Yacht Station with time to spare.

Remember that everyone is here to help the athletes and give them a memorable day. Please cooperate with the marshals and event staff.

We look forward to seeing you at The Fambridge Yacht Haven Half Iron Triathlon and hope you have a great day!

After the event we recommend heading to the Ferry Boat Inn Pub and Restaurant in North Fambridge.
